This is a new feature on our web site, to keep our current residents informed about issues that are common to all our renters. This will give you tips on avoiding Winter related problems and advance notice of preventative maintenance projects. As we get closer to Summer, we'll include time lines on how to renew your lease for next year. Please make sure that all hoses are disconnected from exterior faucets. The pipe will freeze unless the hose is disconnected, then burst when it thaws out. Expensive to repair.
Don't store any items around your water heater or furnace, as this can be a fire hazard.
Make sure that snow is removed from any public sidewalk on your property within 24 hours of the snow stopping, per City of Fort Collins ordinance. You will be ticketed and charged for any snow removal done by the city.
By now all the furnaces should have been checked and all fireplace chimeys should have been checked and cleaned. Please contact us if your property was overlooked, or if your property was managed by another company last Fall. This is important for your safety and to make sure your gas appliances are working efficiently.
